The dam is no longer doing the job that was intended. There are four options for addressing the issue. The Upper Straits Clean Lake Association is recommending one of the four options. This option will require an assessment on home or lot owners around the lake, not just lakefront homeowners. The assessment may run anywhere from $60 for off-lake up to $3,700.00 for lakefront.
