Members: An important reminder. There are no fires or fireworks allowed at Bayside Beach.
There were a couple of incidents at the beach association property where fireworks were used.
With one of the 2 incidents, there was a fire that developed after 11PM with 3-foot flames next to the electric pole by the boat ramp. A member not associated with the event, fortunately spotted the flames and ran down to the beach to put out the fire. With the other incident, a group of 5 or 6 people were setting off fireworks from the north parking lot. There was damage incurred on a few of the pontoons moored at the north shore.
