For the first few years of membership, Dean served his work hours at the beach by doing weekly beach clean-ups. For several years, he served as the dock chairman, prior to Allen Oblak. Most recently, for the past 7 years, Dean has served as the beach association’s work assessment chairman, a position requiring a major time commitment and much organization. He works with beach members to encourage them to sign up and complete their beach work hours. For the past 5 years, Dean has also served as a board member. Also, as a board member, Dean’s goal is to assist the board with making our beach association move forward on improvements.

She is a recent retiree after 40 years in the District Court system as Civil Clerk to the Judge. For 12 years during her career with the court, Diane also served as union president. This union position helped her develop skills in negotiations and conflict resolution. Diane’s contributions to our association over the years include: working at the beach on opening day to prepare the beach for the summer, performing beach clean ups, and helping to organize/assist with the beach’s annual 4th of July party. Diane hopes to assist the board and the association in maintaining the beach as a pleasing, friendly venue for families and friends.
Jeff Laz – Jeff has been a Bayside Beach Association member since 2010 with his wife Jennifer and their children (Allison age 11, Jonathon age 10, and Nolan age 7). The Laz family spends a lot of time at the beach and on the lake, especially enjoying boating. Jeff served as board alternate from 2015 – 2016 and again this year. In past years, he has participated in opening day, party planning, day dock pole installation, gate improvement projects, and beach clean-ups. The Shepps enjoy(ed) life in the Bayside Beach area so much that they recently moved into their second home located in the community. (One can identify which house is theirs by the Legos on the mailbox.) Adam and his family enjoy spending their time at the beach, as often as possible, and have made it a priority to get engaged in the beach association. Adam shared, “Alone, I won’t be a better board member than anyone else, but with membership input, we can continue to fortify this association into the pillar of the neighborhood we all want it to be.”
