Key Pick-up Procedure: Two steps
If you have not yet signed up for your 2021 work hours, not yet paid your 2021 Bayside Beach Association dues and have not picked up your gate key(s), please follow this 2-step process:
- Contact Dean Hare, our beach work assessment chairman, to INITIATE the process by signing up for work hours. His phone number is 248.363.6198. His e-mail address is hared152@comcast.net
- Then, call Jo Anne Clark at 248.363.5564 between 5PM and 7PM, Monday through Friday, to arrange a day and time to pay dues, turn in registration forms, and pick up keys. PLEASE DO NOT JUST STOP BY JO ANNE’S HOUSE! Jo Anne will verify whether you have signed up for work hours prior to your appointment with her.
Party Applications
If you are hosting a large party at Bayside Beach (25 guests or more), then you must apply for a party permit by contacting Cindy Safalian, our party chairperson. Contact Cindy at 248.770.0234.
Bayside Beach Watercraft Registration
Two years ago, Bayside Beach Association members were asked to register any non-motorized watercraft that was to be left on shore or on the kayak rack. Last summer, the registration process was modified in 2 ways.
- Each non-motorized watercraft owner who contacted Bobbie Sue Young was issued an (some) official Bayside Beach decal(s) with an assigned number(s) for each watercraft the member owns and uses at Bayside Beach. (In case any such watercraft is cast adrift on the lake and ends up moored on some other lakeside property, it will be much easier to identify the owner and return the watercraft to that owner.)
- Last summer, the Bayside Beach Association Board of Directors decided to extend the Bayside Beach Association registration process to motorized watercraft as well. An official Bayside Beach decal was issued for each motorized watercraft that a member intends to use on Upper Straits Lake. The first decal was included with dues. Any additional decals cost $5.00 each.
Currently, there are some Bayside Beach members who have not registered their watercraft, whether motorized (ski boat, pontoon boat, jetski) or non-motorized (kayak, paddle board, etc). If you have not registered your watercraft, please do so as soon as possible. To request a watercraft registration application, contact Bobbie Sue Young at bobbiesueyoung.88@gmail.com. (If a member has more than 1 watercraft that he/she uses at the beach, then (an) additional decal(s) must be procured. The price of the first Bayside Beach Association decal is included in membership dues. Any additional decals cost $5.00 each.) If you registered your watercraft last year, you do not need to register again, unless you have a new watercraft.
Any association member’s watercraft left at the beach without a Bayside Beach Association decal will be removed from the beach.
Boat Ramp Etiquette
No power loading or power unloading is permitted EVER! Members who misuse the ramp will be fined the first time and will lose their beach membership upon further infraction.
