BEACH BUSINESS

July General Membership Meeting

Please plan to attend this important meeting on Sunday, July 22 at 1PM at the beach. Nominations for officers and board members will be accepted. Discussion on possible future beach improvement expenditures will be included.

Key Pick-up Procedure

If you have not yet signed up for your 2018 work hours, paid your 2018 Bayside Beach Association dues and have not picked up your gate key(s), please contact Dean Hare, our beach work assessment chairman, to initiate the process by signing up for work hours. NOTE: Liza Jerzy will issue keys to members, once Dean Hare contacts her with notification of work hour sign-up by the members.

Party Applications Must Be Posted

If you are hosting a large party at Bayside Beach (25 guests or more), then you must contact Herb Wilson to apply for a party permit. Along with a $150.00 fully refundable party deposit, a party application must be filled out and a copy of such application must be posted by the host at the pavilion on the day of the party.

PROTECT OUR PRECIOUS RESOURCE

Bayside Beach is a gem for all association members to enjoy.  With privileges, come responsibilities. One such responsibility is to follow our beach rules.  One important rule states that beach gate keys and their use are your responsibility. If your key is lost or stolen, you must report it.  If there is an illegal entry on your key, any actions or infractions of the rules will be your responsibility. You CANNOT loan your key to any non-member.

If a non-member (living on Upper Straits Lake) wants to use our boat ramp to unload/load his boat, you must be present with the non-member.  Our boat ramp is in dire need of repair.  This repair project will be initiated with applications for permits this summer.  The actual repair work will most likely occur this fall or next spring.  As such, beach association members must be watchful as to how our boat ramp is being used in its present condition.  Improper usage of the boat ramp may damage the integrity of the ramp or may damage the boats being loaded or unloaded.  No power loading or power unloading is permitted EVER!

If you suspect there is improper usage of gate keys or of the boat ramp, please contact the board with your report.  (board@baysidebeach.com)

Members who misuse their gate keys will be asked to come before the board and may be in danger of forfeiting their memberships if further infraction occurs.

BAYSIDE BEACH WORK HOURS

Per the Bayside Beach Constitution, Rules and By-Laws, each membership must serve six (6) work hours per year. Our beach could not be the facility it is without your help as association members.

If you have already served your 6 hours, please be sure to contact Dean Hare to report your service.

If you have not served your 6 hours, contact Dean to sign up for beach clean-ups, closing day, etc.
